Welwyn Garden City Golf Club has a current playing membership of just over 700 members, with an additional 170 social members who enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse and regular social events.

Full social membership is included in all playing memberships, and new members are encouraged to use the facilities of the club.


A bar levy of £100 per year is charged for all adult playing members. This can be used during the year against food and drink purchases from the bar. A 20% discount is given to members using their bar cards for purchases of drinks.


Once accepted as a playing member, you will receive a membership disc, a course planner, a copy of the Rules of Golf, a club diary, and a club tie. You will also be encouraged to take a complimentary 9-hole playing lesson with the professional, which must be taken within the first six months of membership.
Membership is currently available, with an application form and information pack obtainable from the office. The subscription year runs from April to March, with fees pro-rated for those joining part-way through the year.
The entrance fee can now be spread over a period of up to one year by standing order. The subscriptions can also be spread over 10 months payable by direct debit.
