We currently have over 600 playing members, and an additional 150 social members. It is the intention of the club to provide friendly and competitive golf for players of all abilities. There are regular competitions, club matches and, for the lower handicap players, scratch matches against other clubs. You will have the opportunity to play in regular swindles, which provide a great opportunity to meet other members in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Club competitions are an important part of the make up of the Club, running almost every weekend between the end of March and the end of September. In addition to this, there are popular days such as Captain's Day, Invitation Day and Captain Pro Day which provide fun but hard-fought competition, whilst always providing the opportunity to share a drink in the clubhouse afterwards.
The Club organises regular social events that are normally held in the clubhouse, enhancing the friendly atmosphere when family and guests are welcomed.

The Seniors Section is both an active and vibrant part of Welwyn Garden City Golf Club. It provides an excellent opportunity for the 'more mature' golfer (over 55) to participate in friendly, social and competitive golf on a regular basis.
Welwyn Garden City Golf Club is very proud and supportive of its Junior Section. It is active 12 months of the year, with designated competitions that run from February to October, and a winter league to keep everyone interested in the colder months.
