​Having joined the team at Welwyn Garden City Golf Club in 2019, Harry Cater previously spent seven years as a member of the club, representing it in the Junior, Men's and Scratch teams. With such a strong connection to the club, progressing to the role of Head Professional is a position he is incredibly proud to hold.

Harry is passionate about helping golfers of all abilities improve their game and enjoy their golf. From complete beginners taking their first swings to experienced players looking to refine their performance, every lesson is tailored to the individual, with a focus on building confidence and achieving lasting improvement.

His coaching philosophy is simple: make learning enjoyable, effective and easy to understand. Whether through one-to-one coaching or group sessions, Harry creates a relaxed environment that allows every golfer to develop at their own pace.
Harry also leads many of the club's beginner group programmes, providing a welcoming introduction to the game for those looking to get started.

As Junior Co-ordinator at Welwyn Garden City Golf Club, Harry oversees the club's Saturday junior coaching programme and is passionate about developing the next generation of golfers. He is proud to be part of a coaching team that has helped produce some of the country's leading junior players, reflecting the strength of the club's junior programme.
