Welwyn Garden City Golf Club has a warm and friendly welcome for all visiting golfers – whether individuals, groups or societies. All visitors can look forward to an excellent round of golf followed by our welcoming Clubhouse facilities. A sunny afternoon on our patio overlooking the course is a great place to finish your day and discuss the putts that got away.

Our intention is to give you an excellent golfing experience from the moment that you arrive, knowing that you will then want to return.

If you are looking to play the course, we would suggest that you call the Pro Shop or book on our online system in order to ensure that we do not have any large bookings but we will always try to ensure that you can get a game.

Green Fee Information is available here.

Society Information is available here.

Dress Guidelines

We ask that visitors respect our dress code, which is there to ensure that members and visitors alike enjoy a conducive environment in the clubhouse and on the course. Our philosophy is based on the idea that the dress of players on the course, and members and guests in the Clubhouse, should never be so casual as to raise objection or give offence. Please have a look at our guidelines which are detailed here.

On Course Etiquette

We encourage all players, whether members of visitors, to adhere to the following simple guidelines on the course:

  • Please help maintain the excellent standard of the course by repairing pitch marks and replacing divots.
  • If you are aware of a faster group behind you, please let them play through when possible.
  • Where possible please keep up with the group in front, rather than in front of the group behind.
  • Please be aware of players putting out on a green close to you.
  • Be aware of a public footpath running across the 12th hole and in front of the 13th tee.
